Howdy-do Sugar Pie Sistas! The beauty of summer is bursting in every direction! I can smell the aroma of Barbeque in the air, blended with fresh cut grass, the peaches are hanging heavy on my trees, and a Rocky-Road ice cream cone sounds like a good idea right about now!
Here’s an idea! I wanted to share an idea with y’all…on how you can put your copy of “Watermelon and Fireflies” book together. After printing it out on quality Premium paper, I put the pages inside plastic Sheet Protectors and then tied them together with 3 strips of wide gingham ribbon. If you cut the ribbon at a slant it’s easy to thread it through each hole and tie a double knot to secure it.
Cute! Tied together with ribbons adds to the vintage, down-on-the-farm look. Of course you can put it in a notebook, but this way seems to work great too. You can even slip a sheet of posterboard behind the front and back cover to give it a more hardback feel.
Here’s a peek inside in case you haven’t purchased yours yet.
Here’s my first fresh peach pie of the summer season. I punched stars in the top crust with a cookie cutter to make it “cute as Christmas” then sprinkled it with raw sugar for a scrumptious buttery crunch. Yummy to my tummy! The recipe “Oh My Stars Summer Peach Pie” is in my “Watermelon and Fireflies” e-book.
Just so there’s no confusion, I want all my sistas to know that this is a PDF document that you can download, view and print on your computer. This is NOT a printed book that you’ll be receiving by mail. Due to the fact that this is a digital download, I won’t be able to accept any refunds. If you have any questions about your order you can contact my son Dusty at auntruthie@sugarpiefarmhouse.com
Understand that he has a full time job and he will answer your emails as quickly as he can.
It’s so delicious everyone will shout “Oh My Stars!”
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Maryjane from Beehive Cottage is the winner of my give-away for helping to promote “Watermelon and Fireflies” on her blog. Yay Maryjane!
Thank you to all of my Sugar Pie Sista’s who participated by sharing about my e-book on your blog!
Well, sistas take time to smell the roses and sip the sweet tea! May you have a blessed and safe 4th of July holiday! God Bless America, land that I love!
Hugs!

I am so loving the smells of summer too…I love the smell of my horse mixed with the smell of the leather saddle…and the smell of the pine trees…oh, one could go on and on! It was such a long winter here with no spring, so I am so in love with summer!

Would love to buy your book and see what all the ladies are raving about but husbands work hours have been cut and with every penny having to go towards bills, food and kids I am afraid I will have to miss out on the experience but good luck with the sales of it – I know the ladies are enjoying it….
Oh i so wanted to order a copy of the new e book,, but my hubby just lost his job, and I have a business called Moms Helper that is providing transportation to kids during the school year,, so with it being summer, I am out of work too,,, But God is good to us, and will see us through this rough time, but I just didnt have the heart to ask my husband if I could order the book.. but I am enjoying your blog just the same..
But if you wouldnt mind,, if you and your followers might say a little prayer for us, I sure would appreciate it..
Thank you and God bless…
Wow, that looks amazing. What a neat idea to pull together a book that way, it would be nice to give something like that as gifts as well! Neat!

That is SO cute Aunt Ruthie! I actually was going to print mine out this week and find something cute to put it in, but I ADORE the ribbon idea…and I think I have some page protectors–as the Christian Comedienne Chanda Pierce always says “Well, id-n’t that just PREH-SHUS!”

Ruthie, I printed my out ASAP and I love it! Mine’s in a white plastic binder/folder that already has clear pages permanently in it — Do you this book fit perfectly? It was exact number of pages I had in the book.

Hi Aunt Ruthie
Hi Aunt Ruthie I just have to share my July 4th with you. My hubbie and I bought his parents old farmhouse as an investment even though we dont live there we have a garden there and are slowly planting an orchard. We currently have 2 hens and a rooster. We plan to live there when we retire and want to be as self sufficient as possible. We invited all his 6 brothers and sisters and all their children and grandchildren there for the July 4th meal. It was a treat for them to come back to the old home place where they grew up and I used so many of your ideas from your website and your book. I had the enamel dishpan on the table with lemons and dasies in it. I had a big jar full of lemonde with a red polka dot ribbon tied on it and dasies tied to it. I had banana pudding in mason jars and iced tea served in them also. I was ready for the little ones with bubbles, squirt guns, chalk and balloons. Everyone oohed and awed over the decorations and said it made their day more special. Thank you aunt ruthie for all your ideas and suggestions. I have touches of “Sugarpie farmhouse” all over my home and am loving it. Sharon

Aunt Ruthie,
I just wanted to write and let you know how much of a blessing you are to me…..and to my family. I have been reading your blog for about a year now. You are such a source of inspiration for me as a homemaker. I love my family and home, and strive to keep the values and ideals of the past alive. You’re a mother, so I know you understand. There are just some days that you need a reminder that there is value in the work we do. We all need motivation. My husband has been out of town for the past week and my kids are both under 5. The week has been great…..tiring, but great. With Jason gone,I’ve been tucking the kids in bed, I pick up the house and hop in my bed with the laptop and read through your archives. Most of them I’ve read before but I still find renewal in the Bible verses you post and what you write. I know there must be others out there who feel the same way.
Thank you so much for taking the time to keep up your blog! God has used you MANY times to remind me what’s truly important.
God bless you and your family,
Jessica Adam
