Howdy Sugar Pies! Some of you darlin’ gals may know that I contribute a decorating post for Christy Jordan over at her website Southern Plate, every month, well, my spring feature is this sweet printable I created and how I dolled up a plain ol’ clipboard to clip it on! It will cheer up any nook or cranny in your house with delightful images of wonderful, glorious springtime! If you would like this free printable click here!
While you’re over at Southern Plate take a look around! Christy has hundreds of down-home recipes to choose from! I just chatted with Christy today on the phone and let me tell you she is as Southern as you can get! Her adorable accent is sweet as honey and her joy in living is irresistible! She’s hilarious too!
A lot of Christy’s recipes come with a heartwarming story like Grandmama’s Hawaiian Nut Bread and Granny’s Chow Chow, which make the recipes that much more special.
Well, I hope y’all are having a good start to springtime and warmer weather! This is the first week, here in the Ozarks, that will be in the 70-degree range. The sun is shining today, the sky is periwinkle blue and my apple trees are exploding with gorgeous white blossoms! Yay!!!!!
I’ll be back real soon so take good care of yourself!!
Bless your family…make home sweet!
Aunt Ruthie
This coming week is the first week that we will be having really nice weather as well. I am glad to see it and I hope it stays. I would like to work in my flowers and take some days to clean up my yard, but I can’t when it is still rainy and cold out.
Sun is shining our way today. Suppose to be a beautiful day. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Ruthie, I enjoy reading your blog and the recipes are a delight!
I love your sense of humor and all the talent you have. Just wanted to let you know how much I’m encouraged by your blog!
Blessings to you from here down in Texas!
I have just discovered you Ruthie. I would love one of your printables about birds chirping that you put on a clip board. I don’t have a printer to print it. How can I get one?
Just discovered you and so glad I did. What wonder recipes, tips and stories you have. I am a Virginia girl by birth and am now living about as South as you can get as we recently moved to Cuenca, Ecuador. Here we don’t have to worry about snow and it stays around 70all year round. Thank you for sharing your time, talents and wonderful stories. God bless you and yours.
This print is adorable! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you for the sweet printable. It’s always good to hear from you. xox
Hi Aunt Ruthie,
I love your blog and especially gain inspiration from you in regards to home maintenance and “keeping home sweet.” I’d love to hear more stories about when your big children were little and how you kept everything under control!
Thanks and God bless xx
