Gals, I am so happy to present to you these storage jars made by Anchor Hocking.
Reminiscent of the old apothacary jar, this container has an airtight metal lid to keep your food fresh and a wide opening that makes it easy to reach in with your hand or scoop.
The lids come in three different finishes, red, to match our lipstick, black and brushed silver. They also come in different sizes, the ones I use are the 1 ½ gallon capacity. Storing my flour, sugar, brown sugar and Krusteaz pancake mix in these jars and keeping them on my counter, has really made things easier for me on baking day!
I just love’em!
Here’s some more pics, just for you ;)
If you’re interested in ordering these jars I recommend my favorite online store Amazon!
OH MY GOODNESS! OH MY GOODNESS! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! Love the new site! Thank you for the wonderful advice and encouragement! I can’t wait to see where this new adventure takes you. XOXOXOXO
Ruthie …I love those jars …I will be on a mission tomorrow!
Thank you ! SmileS~*~Birdy
I’m loving your new website!!! It’s very you…..and we get to actually hear your voice! I was expecting an accent, knowing you and southern livin’ lovin’! But I knew you didn’t! Still very cute! :D
I wandered into your kitchen first…I have one of these jars (the tallest one) filled to the brim with animal crackers. Love the look, love the jars! Fun seeing you “in person” :) ps-I ordered the Farm Chicks book last week–so glad to hear you like it as I couldn’t find many reviews of it before I ordered!
You are just as ‘cutie-patootie-pie’ on video as you are in your photos!
Great review! Looking forward to more!
~Amy
Love the jars. I recently moved into house with a wonderful pantry and have been looking for something along this line. Love the red lid! Also, you answered my question about the brown sugar before I even asked! Thank you. I look forward to more of your blue ribbon reviews.
Aren’t you darling! And I am getting those jars, I just bought the cutest curtains for my farmhouse kitchen with red gingham trim and they are gonna look cute and sassy!
Love the new site! I picked up one of these jars at Target on clearance the other day and I love it! BTW,your Summer reminds me of my own “Strawberry Sunshine” she is 11!

I am so glad that you reviewed these jars! I have noticed them in all of your kitchen pictures and was wondering where you had purchased them from. They will look lovely on the countertops in the new farmhouse that we are building.

Miss Ruthann! You know, all this time, you going on about wanting to be a southern belle, and I just expected you to have a down-south accent! But I know you’re really a California girl by birth, so I should have known better. :)
Those are fabulous jars, great RED tops, and if I’m ever in the market for news ones I’ll have to keep those in mind for sure. :)
I have these jars after seeing them on your site and LOVE them!! They make baking so easy because of the wide opening!! But really, they make my kitchen look a little like yours!!
LOVE the new site — it was so hard waiting for it but I could just imagine you tweaking and perfecting every little thing! Your site has always been my #1 favorite!! Hands down! Also, I’m so glad you kept the archives from Warm Pie,Happy Home — I refer back to them often. Thanks for everything!
I have these and I LOVE them.
In my town, the large size is available from the Super Target and the small sizes at Meijers.
Good to know they are available through Amazon!
I HAVE THESE JARS AND I LOVE THEM. COFFEE, FLOUR, SUGAR, BROWN SUGAR AND OATS AND BISQUICK.

Well you are just a cutie patootie!!!
I love that the brown sugar stays soft. I will need to get some of those wonderful jars….I love the red lid too!
I loved getting to hear your voice!! ;o) I’m impressed with the soft brown sugar in those jars…now I want a set!
LOVE the new website! With everything going on in the world, this site helps me remember the really imortant things. I’m missing the music you had on the old site, it it gone or is there something wrong with my computer? I loved the old time music!!!
Oh my! You are so cute!! I would’ve been so nervous, but you did a great job :)
rue
Look at you and your pearls!!! LOL~ Laura loves it!!
Thanks so much for this product review. I’ve been thinking for the past few years about getting glass jars to put my “stuff” in. You’ve sold me. As soon as I get past “Birthday H-e-double hockeysticks” (3 birthdays in 3 weeks what was I thinking!!) I’ll invest in a few.
laura
I LOVE those jars and I LOVE your new site. I’ve been checking back every day to see if it was up and running. It is truly wonderful.
Also, I’m glad you showed us the brown sugar. I have a lot of glass jars that I wouldn’t put my brown sugar in because it would clump. Now I think I’ll be owning some of these since my kitchen has red accents, too!
But, the big question is – WHAT is that adorable little miniature stove on your counter and WHERE did you get it? My Summer was looking at your website with me and we were both freaking out!! We love little things and all things kitchen/baking. Please share!
It’s so fun to hear you and see the real you in action! Lovely! I saw these on you blog months ago and then our Meijer’s grocery had them on sale for 25% off – I just had to get a few for the kitchen – they are so handy and cheerful! And durable too – our son dropped one and it didn’t even break! Yeah!
I love these jars, not only are they Beautiful, I like how the opening is wide. Thanks for the wonderful video ~ we get to Hear you! : )
I love the videos of your favorite things, so sweet. Please continue making them. Would love to see cooking and tours of other parts of your beautiful kitchen.
You bring sunshine to my day! thank you!
God has really given you many talents.
Oh I love these jars. They look perfect for storing all baking goods.
Thanks for the review. Found your site via your comment on the Farm Chicks.
Those jars are cute and functional, I myself have glass jars also but they are all clear and with a glass top with a seal and I must say I LOVE THEM!
I will have to admit that when it is time to give them a hot soapy bath I do have to take off the ring to clean it along wtih the lid but after all is dry it fits right back on perfectly.
Again I love your new site! and your video…I love the little apron you have on.
Look Ruth Ann you are costing a girl too much money! I just about bought everyone of your product suggetions! (smile).
God Bless Everyone!

I was a big fan of Warm Pie Happy Home too. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to all the goodness to come!!! Have a sweet sweet day!!!
Thank you for the wonderful idea! I couldn’t find the one with a red lid but im going to paint mine. I went out and bought the pancake mix you use and its fabulous, it looks so yummy and inviting on my counter waiting to be mixed into morning goodness. Made my dear in-laws some when they came to visit and they raved at how tasty the pancakes were and wanted to know what kind I use. I usually make them from scratch but these taste so much better.
I just love your new website and all the Godly inspiration you give. You are a true blessing to us all and please post more often.

I bought these today and can’t wait to fill them! Thanks for the video review…..without it, I wouldn’t have even noticed them at the store!

Melissa
I love your video! How nice to “see” and “hear” you in person. I saw these glass jars on another blog and really liked them but they didn’t seal tight – they had glass lids (looked nice though). I wanted ones that would seal tight and was so delighted to see your versions. I plan to get a few of these so I can put my old orange and yellow tupperware containers to bed finally. Thanks for sharing! Love your new blog look.
hi! it was lovely to meet you today at la maison rustique with my friend Sarah G.–how great that she got to see you!
love your blog and will tune in now that i know it’s here- best regards, mary v.
Yeah! I just found another one of these jars at Goodwill – $.99 if you please! That really works for me – I’ll build up my collection by and by as I see them! I love these jars!
