(The tree in front of my house)
Well hello Sugar Pie! It’s been too long since I posted last! Goodness! I hope you didn’t forget about me! I sure missed you! It’s been such a busy summer so far! I was out of town for a couple of weeks, had family from San Francisco come stay with us…was blessed with the birth of my first grand-daughter and just recently welcomed my 3rd adorable grandson into the world! That makes 4 grand-babies! My family-tree is growing!
(About my music player: My music player is no longer in service, but I did find a different one…although I’m not sure I like it. If you want to hear some sweet “baby music” to accompany this post you need to scroll way down to the bottom on the left and click it on. Also if you know of a music player that works well for blogs please let me know about it!)
Let’s rewind back to last December when we found out my son Dusty and Daughter-in-love Kimmy were expecting their second baby… here’s the darling postcard they sent out to friends and family to announce the wonderful news!
He weighed in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.
A Bundle of joy sent from above, glorious treasure to cherish and love!
This is Kade’s first look at his little brother! Oh honey! They are gonna be best buds, I just know it!
A happy family on a happy day!
Precious little Zealand in his crib next to his new pals, Owl and Snoopy.
It’s been so sweet to see how gentle and loving Kade is to his little brother!
Kade has red hair and so far brother Zealand has brown…both are adorable!
Pure sweetness!
Pure contentment!
Here’s a peek into Zealand’s nursery! Just darling!
Don’t you love the striped walls and the colorful books on the shelves above the changing table!
Here’s a fun photo of all 4 of my delicious and treasured grand-babies! Zealand, Polly, Kade and Johnny! (I’m already thinking about going to the pumpkin patch with them and all the Christmas fun we’re gonna have! LOL! )
When I think of how I struggled with infertility so many years ago, I look at these babies now and I’m amazed at the goodness of the Lord! This is proof that God answers prayer and wants to give us the desires of our hearts when we delight in Him. I’m also reminded of the verse “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6 Back in the day when I wanted a baby so much my heart hurt I would cry at Pampers commercials. If only I knew then what I know now…to trust and have faith!
Well Sugar, that’s the latest wonderful news from The Farmhouse so far this summer! What have you been up to?
P. S. One more thing! Please follow me on Instagram! I share every-day sort of stuff from my neck-of-the-woods. You can find me there under @sugarpiefarmhouse.

What a wonderful Blessing, 4 precious angles from Heaven….God Bless them all <3
Hi friend! Congratulations on your beautiful grandbaby! So happy for you! What a beautiful and blessed family. We’ve been really busy lately. Let’s get together after my college “babies” go back to school. Love you friend! Thanks for sharing your good news!
Congratulations on both of your new grandbabies! What wonderful treasures from God. I always look forward to your wonderful words of encouragement and bits of “homey news”. I so needed to hear the quote you posted from the book of Proverbs,“Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” That’s what I’m going through right now and those words of affirmation spoke powerfully to me. Thank you for always allowing the Lord to speak through your life regardless of the situation of the means of communication He desires to use.
Love ya,
Sharron
Congratulations on the newest blessing to your family…woohoo!!! What fun these youngsters will have growing and getting to know and love one another. Enjoy each and every minute you get to spend with them. May God continue to bless your family!

My dear daughter was ‘just’ accepted at Southwest Baptist University in Missouri. Is this anywhere near you?
Kind regards,

Congratulations are very much in order!. Those sweet smiles and the “oh so sweet new baby smell” are to be treasured. I love hearing about your life and seeing how God works through you. You are truly blessed.
Congratulations!! Nothing like a new baby in the family! They fit right in with the ‘old babies’!! Just beautiful pictures! Enjoy and blessings to you and yours.
Such a beautiful baby. Congratulations to you all. Yes, your family is growing!
Aunt Ruthie, They are adorable! Little Polly is sure to be spoiled! I have 2 grand babies, soon to be 2 and 4. They keep me hoppin’. I can only imagine 4, under the age of 4. Wow….and congrats!!!
What a beautiful family!!! In regards to your infertility issues early on,I think that people who yearn and struggle for something end up appreciating it so much more. I can tell that you truly cherish the miracle of life. These babies are blessed to have such a positive and thankful (and beautiful and creative…) grandmother like you!
ohhhhh…you just touched my heart so deeply.
As I was reading thru the post, admiring the beautiful pictures and pining for what I long for so deeply–I read your last lines & burst into tears. Tears for feeling understood, tears of joy, tears of thankfulness.
I am struggling with infertility and feel that it will never be my time. Pampers commercials make me cry, I have to leave a room when other people announce their pregnancy, my husband is considerate & tries not to put on shows with babies.
I am so thankful to know that somehow it all works out the way it should.
thank you, thank you, thank you.
P.S. The picture of all the grandbabies lined up is fabulous!

Zealand sure is a unique name! Sounds happy! :)
Have a blessed rest of the summer!
I am just so tickled for you. Someday I hope that God will bless me with a grandbaby before I am too old to run and play with a child. Our only daughter who wants a child cannot conceive and does not choose to pursue any artificial means just yet. Our son is in no hurry to get married either, so things are not looking up for me right at this time. Ever hopeful, your friend , Sharon
What a wonderful name!
I sure hope his mummy and daddy bring him down under to visit in our little neck of the woods .. New Zealand :)

Good morning,
I just came across this song from a friend of mine, this is her daughter singing “The Happy Working Song”: and I immediately thought of you. Here is the link: http://www.reverbnation.com/ashleywagnerfoughty/song/15278278-happy-working-song
Wish there was a way to have your song list back on your blog. I’ve been reminded of so many happy, working songs. Thank you.
