Girls! I just love this cute Polka Dot Apron!
There is something about a sassy little apron that can put a spring in your step when it comes to cleaning your home or preparing meals for your family. I always like to create a happy home atmosphere, by tying on a perky apron, turning the music on, and lighting a scented candle. We have to take care of our home anyway so why not do it with a good attitude? A happy mama, makes a happy home. This ruffled apron makes me happy!
If you’re interested in ordering the Basil Polka Dot Apron I recommend my favorite online store Amazon!
Here’s some more pics, just for you ;)
Hi I love this apron but every time I go to Amazon it says it is currently unavailable. So I gave up and just made one, only in red I just posted it on my blog. I just winged it. But it cam out pretty good. I love it !!! Sharon
Aunt Ruthie,
Loved the apron, one of my favorite colors, The tip of tying the apron in front and putting the towel on it is so great. When I am in the kitchen I am always losing my towel . I am really going to be using this tip. Thank you so much for sharing.
Sue
That is a very pretty apron. I’ve never really been an apron person, but your interest in aprons has intrigued me to research this phenomenon! I’m crazy about dishtowels. Pretty dishtowels. I have some nice ones I never use, I just display. If you could see the used ones, you’d know why:D
I love aprons, too! They are so fun and remind me of memories of my grandmother. I get some of the cutest ones at Ross Dress For Less. I actually found a black and white toile one there a few weeks ago. Polka dots are so cute. I like anything with polka dots! Madaline
I love it! I would of never thought to look on Amazon for aprons! You really need to turn SugarPie Farmhouse into a book! Love it all!
Cute cute cute! I love aprons, and have recently been noticing how stained and unattractive mine are getting – it’s time to make some new ones – maybe I’ll find some cute basil green polka dots for the next one I make – but more likely I look in my stash of fabric and made do with what I’ve got on hand – in the spirit of making do or doing without! I do love the ruffles and the dishtowel idea! How well does your apron wash? Is it all cotton? Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for these cute suggestions!
The apron is not in stock. Anyone know where else it might be sold?
Hey Sistas, I’m so sorry this apron is not in stock right now on Amazon….go figure! You can find it at this web site:
http://www.mainstreet-store.com/kd_women.shtml
The apron is made by Kay Dee designs.
They even have other colors like butter-yellow and sky-blue!
Unfortunately, I don’t have any controls on what stays in stock! Hope this helps!
Hey Sistas! I’m so sorry that Amazon is out of stock on this item…just when I post a review on it (for crying out loud!). The good news is, I just got a confirmation from the supplier at Amazon that they will be re-stocking this apron the first of July!!! Blessings to y’all!
You can also find it here:

I’m a different “Marcia” from the one above, but wanted to share that I bought this apron about a month ago from Gooseberry Patch and they had it on sale, 1/2 price! I love it, and my teenage daughters love it too. My 15yo daughter would like to make a dress to look like this :-) She’s a girly girl and loves the ruffles.

Dear Aunt Ruthie,
WOW! You absolutely amazed me. I know you have a very popular blog and probably have hundreds of followers. All the same, you took the time to stop by and say “Hello”. That just goes to show what a wonderful woman you are. Most people with blogs like yours do not bother with the ‘little girls’ like me. I really did not expect you to respond, but I must say that you made my day because you did, so kindly, respond.
I do not expect another reply, but I just wanted to come over here, to your very lovely blog, and thank you for being so nice.
I do not know how you do it…your blog is definitely one of my favorites! Fun music, too, I guess you can that tell I love the “Good Old Days”. It is a delight to find retro sisters out there.
Oh yes, and one more thing…I loved how you greeted me as your sister in the Lord!
♥Hope
P.S. I just watched this fun video of you, and I love your apron and also love that June Cleaver feeling I get when wearing an apron.
I also tie my aprons around the front, like you do, but I never thought to put a dish towel there…how clever! I also use clothes pins on bags! Now I will know how to keep those handy, too!
My favorite old TV show is Father Knows Best…I bet you have seen it…if so, did you ever notice how the Margaret Anderson ties her apron around the front like that?
It has been a pure delight to come see you today…I feel like I know you already, and I cannot wait to come back to your warm, friendly home again.
♥♥♥♥♥Hope
i love the apron and green is my favorite color. Thanks for the great tips, now I have to go out and get myself an apron, they are so darn cute.
I get so excited with all the new and cute things you share on your blog. I just love that ruffled apron. And green is my favorite color?
Could you share with me what sites you like for pie accessories? I’m looking to start my own pie plate collection for my kitchen. I’d really appreciate it. Hope you and your family are enjoying this summer.

I love it, I have several, and they seem to be a thing of the past these days. I love this one, and will attempt making it too, thanks.
Hi there-
I just found your website and was moved to join the sisterhood because of the positive message about not being able to control the world news but we can make our homes cozy and inviting for our family!!
I confess this is my first blog experience and look forward to becoming part of a family based community!
:-)

Hi,
I just love this page and I’m going to cook something from your recipes soon. Best wishes and greetings from Poland!
You and your kitchen are so cute! Love your site!
Love the polka dots & green! I, too, love aprons – especially the “new” old versions that are sassy and not our grandma’s dowdy ones. Check out the Sassy Chef – my friend Lisa makes some really cute aprons!
Adorable blog! Thanks for stopping by The Devine Home.
Hi Ruthie:
Have been reading your blog for a long time now. I just love your recipes and lovely home touches. You always put me in the decorating mood.
I have on order the polka dot apron from Amazon should be arriving any time now.
Thank you for all your inspirations.
Meg
The apron arrived and is as cute as can be!!!! I donned it and made a peach pie!!! Not a blemish on my new cutie!!!! :)
I just found this same apron at Marshall’s today for $7.99…glad I did since it’s not available on Amazon.com.
Very sweet apron, just hope you will post more in the future. Thanks.
What a darling website and how much fun is it!?
Thanks so much for sharing the video reviews and the gorgeous website. Can’t wait to spend more time here!
Best Wishes,
Aimee
Nice website.. I like how it is made… More power!
Just saw this apron and have fallen for it. I love aprons. I use clothespins on my chip bags. I am new to this sight wish I new about it sooner.
Hi Ruthie!
Looks like Amazon is out of stock on this apron again. Looked up the site you gave and they have the basil, pink, and black and white aprons available. The basil has a cute, pink edging on it. Thanks for tracking this down for us! I love your site. It is always so positive and uplifting.
God bless,
Donna
do you have an archive of all the free recipes you have? If so how do we aquire them?
So cute, this might even motivate me to do my chores!
I love the aprons hanging on your pantry screen door. I have spent literally MANY DAYS (At least 50 hours) scouring the internet for a vintage pattern even somewhat close to the 2 aprons in your picture, but have been unsuccessful. Do you have a pattern for the 2 aprons? Can you post a picture of the 2 aprons lying flat so I can see their shape? I don’t have a farm yet, but hope to some day soon, and aprons are a must for the kitchen! Thanks Judy
