Hey Sugar Pie Sweeties! You know, back in the good ol’ days the best chats with friends was over the backyard fence. It was the perfect time to take a break from hanging up the laundry or watering the garden to catch up on family happenings. Well, it’s been awhile since I shared family news so I thought it was high time that I got y’all caught up on my growing family! We’ve got a new baby you haven’t met yet! If you’re a newbie here, first of all, welcome!! I’m so happy you stopped by! I hope you feel right at home here! Let me introduce you to my family!
This is my firstborn, Dusty with my daughter-in-love Kimmy and my adorbs grand-boys Sawyer (2) Kade (6) and Zealand (4)…AND our newest little sweet pea Ember Joy! What a wonderful surprise it was on the day of her birth to find out that Kimmy and Dusty were having a girl!! We are over-the-moon thrilled! They chose not to find out the gender until the birth day! Of course with three boys they were hoping for a girl but of course would have been very happy with another boy. Sweet Ember Joy has red hair to match her name too! Her future boyfriend is going to have to get approval from all her brothers and Papa…I feel sorry for him!! LOL! She’s just beautiful! We are so thankful mama and baby are healthy! Their home is one rambunctious house full of happy kids!
My adorable grandkids, Johnny (7) and Polly (4) are such happy blessings in our family too! Ashley and Glen are making such wonderful memories with their little ones. That’s easy to do here in Branson, Missouri! We’ve got lakes, parks, live music shows and Silver Dollar City which is an amazing 1880’s Theme park. Ashley is an artist so her kids have become quite creative with her guidance and encouragement. Their house is also one happy and fun home!
My son JJ and daughter-in-love Tiffany just celebrated their sweet Olive Rose’s 1st birthday! She is so adorable and has such a sweet, temperament! And, Little Olive is also going to have a baby sister soon in just a few weeks! We can’t wait!! Yay!!! Tiffany is a Math teacher but will now be able to stay home to raise her baby girls. I love watching J.J. and Tiffany nurture and care for baby Olive. It makes my heart swell with joy to see the love they have for their little family. So once this new sweet baby girl is born I will have 4 grand-boys and 4 grand-girls! Praising the Lord right now!
My baby girl Summer Rose has grown up way too fast! She recently graduated High School and will be heading off to College this fall. What?? It’s hard to believe! It seems like she was in kindergarten last week! I love this picture of her siblings holding her on graduation day. It’s funny to think about how they helped rock her, feed her, play with her, take her for rides in the stroller, and carry out her dirty diapers to the garbage can…something they still tease her about! Lol! We are so proud of that girl! She’s compassionate, kind, funny, beautiful and super smart (4.1 GPA…I didn’t even know that was a thing! She’ didn’t get it from me FYI Lol!)
This year my wonderful hubby and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary! Wowza! How did that happen? I thought I was 39? Lol! Looking back in time I remember how Gary and I prayed for three years to be able to conceive a child. Struggling with infertility was extremely difficult because the thing I wanted most in life was to be a mother. I remember crying at Pampers commercials. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. My heart ached for a baby to hold in my arms. Well, as you can see God answered our prayers by blessing us with 4 children and our family continues to grow! God is so good. We only need to be patient, trust Him, have faith and delight in the Lord and as the scripture says… He will give us the desires of our heart. (Psalm 37:4)
I am truly so thankful for my family. Thankful that they all love the Lord and are healthy and happy. But please understand that although we are blessed we have not been without struggles…disappointments, setbacks, discouragements, health issues and financial difficulties. Everyone faces challenges, but we serve a mighty God who is right by our side through the journey. He is faithful and promises to help us. God is always at work for you and I behind the scenes. He’s An On-Time God, Yes He is…just like the old song goes! Amen sistah! Preach.

You are so blessed, and you can appreciate all of the wonderful bounty you have in this life. I believe that every person is blessed. It is a grateful heart that reveals the blessings and opens our eyes to the positive. The things that matter. The things we should focus on, and nurture. Family. Friendships, talents and opportunities. The great country we live in. The beauty of the natural world around us. Good food, good health. Hobbies, animals and Christmas (what would family memories be without holidays!). There’s so much to be thankful for, if we stop the business and take time to give thanks. Your family is amazingly beautiful. I know you will cherish these times, and these memories, when you have gloomy days. These are the things that matter❤️ Hugs & Sugar! Linsey Lou
What a beautiful and wonderfully sweet family you have. .such fantastic blessings…. I myself suffered through two miscarriages and people thought because we didn’t have much money.. that it was a blessing that I lost them.. little did they know how hurtful that was.. but God has been faithful and even though we have never had money.. God has blessed us and eventually gave me my youngest and really wonderful son… I have three wonderful earthly blessings in my children, Rebekah, Nathan, and Zachariah… and Two heavenly ones that I will one day meet. God bless you and thank you so much for sharing the beauty and love of your dear family!!! Much love, hugs and kisses!!! ~~Angela~~

My oh my sugar pie!!! You have certainly been truly blessed by God with all those wonderful children and grandchildren !! What a blessing for all of you !! Beautiful !loving family ! Your spirit shines in all of you !!
What wonderful blessings you have indeed! God is good all the time!! We are in a big transition right now and moving our family from Idaho to South Dakota. We have put it all in His hands and it has been awesome to watch his blessings unfold before us and comforting to trust in His timing!
What a wonderful family you have! I remember when your first grandchild was born and now you have many. Your love and sweetness has been instilled in all of them and they will in turn spread that love and sweetness to others. Congratulations on 39 years of a loving marriage. You have set the bar high for your kids and it looks as though they will carry on the tradition.
God Bless,
Susan and Bentley
I didn’t realize until just this morning that you were still writing blogs and I am thrilled! I still go back and re-read all the older ones once in a while and have printed some off and put in a binder, as I am an in hand paper kind of gal; not so big on YouTube. I love how you write about God’s goodness. I have missed the blogs and hope that is something you continue with in the future. You are such an inspiration. Thank you.
Such a beautiful family. Such precious little ones. I do love chats over the backyard fence. We love Branson and enjoy our little getaways there. How nice that you live so close by. We are about 4 hours away and try to visit a few times throughout the year. Blessings & Hugs From Kansas.
