My heart and prayers go out to my family and friends in San Diego (my birthplace) as well as everyone in California affected by the fires. These are difficult times.
Isaiah 41:10 says
“So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
This is a photo I took recently above my house, it looks like a face in the middle of this amazing cloud formation. It reminds me that God is always with us even through the storms. Now that is comfort.
THANK YOU BLOG-GIRLS!
What kind, lovely and encouraging words all of you blog-girls posted for me! Thank you!!!
I have been a fan of your blogs and feel privileged to be in your world. I will be adding “my favorite blogs” on my page (as soon as I figure out how! ) so I can spread the joy! Y’all just made my day!
My husband and I built our home a year ago. It was so fun to see it come to life after a year of designing it. Come on in!
I love white pumpkins, but I didn’t used to.
Way back in the olden days when my kids were little (3 of them at least, one still is little, she’s 9) we would get all excited about going to the pumpkin patch to pick out the happiest looking pumpkins. Of course I planned to decorate with them until it was time to carve smiling faces and roast the seeds. Well, like I said years ago, I was thinking “orange”, you know “fall colors”. When we got to the patch, my kids ran to a bin of white pumpkins. I had never seen white pumpkins. They looked alien to me. Sort of albino-ish. Weird. Ew. I tried talking my kids out of the “void of color” pumpkins, but nothing doing, they had their hearts set on these white balls. Oh good gravy, fine! Well, we got them home and they decided to draw faces on them with a black marker and I added some cream blush for rosy cheeks. They actually turned out hilarious.
Now, “white anything” is chic and hip!
White pumpkins…I “get it” now…they are here to stay, along with memories of a happy fall day.
Here are my kids! My cutie pies!
That’s all for now, thanks for stopping by for pie, y’all come back now ya hear?
Hugs!

Hi Ruthie
I came across your face in the clouds photo online while I was searching for photos to use in a book trailer I am putting together to advertise a book written by a friend of mine. The book is part of a new series about how God is still at work in each one of us. I would like permission to use your photo as part of this trailer. Please contact me via email regarding this
Hi Ruthie!
I was pining for a new “fall 2019 home tour” from you and realized you had a blog. I decided to start from the beginning and just work my way up. I love the cloud photo and I have a different take on it. To me, it looks like a mother looking at her infant child, with it’s tiny hand reached out to her…I love it!!! I also love how you weave the Good Lord into all of your content…that makes my heart happy! Blessings to you and your sweet family!
