Howdy Cuties! Just popping in to let you know that my Fall Home Tour Video 2017 is on YouTube now! I have a “little tasty apple surprise” that I know will warm your heart when you see it!
Also you’ll see in the video this adorable Butter dish that sort of makes my heart swoon with it’s old fashioned goodness! It would make a delightful Christmas present for someone you love or for yourself! You can find it here in this Affiliate link: Granny’s old time Butter Dish.
In the video you’ll also notice flickering candlelight on my kitchen table and fireplace mantle…they are actually Luminara battery candles with a remote. (affiliate link) I’ve had these for a couple years and they are beautiful! It’s a great, safe option if you have little ones but still want the cozy glow of candles.
If you’re a new-bee Sugar Pie I also give you a peek inside my Fall Ebook…you can find the link here!
Well, in a couple days I’ll be heading out to the pumpkin patch at Sycamore Creek Ranch here in Branson, Missouri, with my family! This ranch is gorgeous and is owned by my one of my dearest friends, Lisa Button! Fall is here, so we’ve got to jump in, enjoy the goodness and make happy memories! I hope to share some photos with you soon!
So dear ones, HERE IS THE LINK TO MY YOUTUBE VIDEO!

So, in regards to butter dishes…..they need to have BUTTER printed on the bottom as well as the top. Why? I’m so glad you asked! My Grandmama always had the butter dish sitting out instead of in the fridge. Why? Well, have you ever tried to make honey butter for your biscuits with cold butter? Or spread cold butter on fresh baked bread…..or, worse yet, fresh cornbread? Cold butter makes your piping hot mashed potatoes lukewarm….yuck. The solution to these issues? Leave the butter dish on the table like Grandmama did. And turn it upside down so the “bowl” section is on the bottom and the “tray” is on top serving as the lid. And THAT’S why BUTTER needs to be printed on the bottom too. The first time my son-in-law saw my upside down butter dish sitting on the table, he turned to my daughter and declared “Your mother is a genius!”. And I promptly gifted him his very own vintage butter dish! He’s a keeper for sure!
Love your videos, your home, your stories, the decorating, just love it all! Look forward to every new video for every season! Thank you for sharing your home and ideas and your stories! Have a wonderful fall, can’t wait for Christmas!
Love your sweet tiara in the last Photo! Thanks for sharing your lovely photos, videos and wonderful ideas and home!xx
Your home and decorations are lovely! Thank you for sharing. I always find such inspiration in your blog posts and home tours. Would love to know what is in your “Orange Spice Tea” and “Pumpkin Spice” jars that are on your warm beverage center? Both sound comforting and delicious!
Your home is beautiful. Your Granny Pearl reminded me of my Dear Grandma Clara Noonan. Your words regarding Granny Pearl could be exactly how Grandma Clara was. Her heart and soul was the kindest that ever could be.
Thankyou for reminding me of such a precious Grandma I had.
Well Aunt Ruthie, all these years I had it in my head you lived in Tennessee and I loved looking at all your pictures because my husband and I met and married when we were both living in Nashville and after a few years we moved back to Missouri to be near aging parents. I’ve just realized after reading further into your past posts that you live in southern Missouri not far from where I was born and raised! I grew up in Aurora but lived for awhile right near the corner of Hwy 13 and Hwy 76. They called it Lakeview at the time. My oldest son started school in Cape Fair. I don’t get down that way a lot as we now have a home in the country well North of KC where my husband works. My parents are both gone. But it’s nice to find someone from my area who loves the same things I do. It’s a treat to see your pictures. I think we have a lot in common; I love my old enamelware, my vintage aprons ( have over 800!), older furniture passed down from family,…and I do love baking and cooking. Fall is my favorite time of year. I’m about out of orchard apples so need to make another trip to the orchard. Have a blessed day! Keep up the lovely work. God bless you and yours!
Loved the video. Thank you for sharing your comfy home and beautiful decorations with us. Your grandsons are adorable!
